Education
Cornerstone firmly believes that churches ought to strive to educate members with yearlong stewardship programs and initiatives.
Stewardship is not a once a year event, but rather a continually growing process for disciples of Jesus. Our programs are firmly grounded in God's Word and are designed to challenge God's people to reflect upon the many blessings given to them.
Minister of Stewardship / Special Gifts Mentoring
Some churches have discovered the benefit of utilizing a lay or staff person to administer, organize and implement stewardship education for members. By allowing one person to implement and initiate stewardship programs of the church, congregations are able to focus energies more clearly. We offer assistance in job descriptions, training, program material, and yearlong plans for growth.
Estate Planning
We believe planned giving ought to be an integral and important activity for every congregation. We assist the local congregation in promoting planned giving among members by training leaders to make visits that encourage God's people to remember the Lord's work through estate plans. Through seminars, training and presentations our staff will help increase the financial resources that will be used to sustain and expand gospel ministry to the glory of God.
Stewardship Committee Counsel
Cornerstone believes Christian stewardship giving is part of our sanctification and discipleship as we make churches financially strong through ongoing stewardship education, and challenging members to make sacrificial investments for eternity. Rather than concentrating on budgets, we challenge members to give God the first fruits - a generous and regular percentage of their income set by faith as an act of God's grace. We work with the congregational group responsible for this type of education.
Budget Ministry Training
In working with individuals throughout the country, we have found that disciples can have a tendency to focus on the materialism of this world. In fact, many are now living from paycheck to paycheck or even worse, paying unnecessary interest on accumulated debt. In the end, these actions are robbing God of first fruit giving. We are willing to address the issue of money and possessions in a biblical, relevant and practical way through a proven scriptural based personal money management course. We not only teach this course at the congregational level, but also offer training of lay members so it becomes a new ministry of the church.
